Rock band WHITE ASH will disband in 2017.

The news was announced via a brief message on the band's official website, which thanked the fans for their love and simply stated that they will disband after the release of a best-of album in March. Details on the title and contents of the album will be revealed at a later date. They have also stated that there will be no farewell live, but they will still perform the shows they already have booked. No specific reason was given for the decision.

WHITE ASH first began pursuing music seriously in 2008. The band began to attract significant attention in 2010, when they were one of the winners of the "RO69JACK" contest, which earned them a slot at the famous ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL that year. They made their major debut in 2013 and are perhaps best known overseas for the songs Crowds and Insight, which were both used as opening themes for the anime series "Gatchaman Crowds".
