Visage

Visage began in July of 2001. The band's line-up was constantly changing, so it's not certain which members were the original founders. However, it is known that vocalist Hiro, guitarist Satoru and drummer Takuto were some of the founding members.

When 2002 began, the band started to release demo-tapes very quickly. In January the first one, called Dokusai, was released. Only a month later they released another demo-tape called Treachery of Love and continued this pattern, releasing their third, Seiyoku Gourmet no Triple Show another month later. Visage stayed busy and released yet another demo-tape, Haiseki Salvage, at the end of March.

Surprisingly, the band managed to wait another month before they churned out another release: their first maxi-single, Egoist Shôkôgun, was released in May and limited to only 500 copies. This is considered to be one of Visage's best works.

After this release, the band had some changes in their line-up. Another guitarist was added, and they changed bassists again: Yukiya was replaced by Saga (who went on to join alice nine. later). Takuto left the band, but still stayed on as support drummer.

Later that year they released a single entitled Jingle Bell and kicked off 2003 with another demo tape called Kimyouchikku Circle. At the end of January, two of Visage's songs were featured on the compilation album Hysteric Media Zone IV. March brought the release of yet another demo tape, Meisai, and a multi-band event featuring the likes of Deadman and ViRUS.

After the first part of 2003, Visage had their last member change: Ryoki came in on guitar, and Manabu on drums. With this new line-up, they released the demo-tape Isshunen Kinen in October and the single Gegokujou sono Ichi in November.

On January 10th, 2004, after almost three years together, the band released their very first mini-album, Reversal Film, on the Under Code label. However, after its release, they left the label. After this, there was very little activity for Visage and in August they announced that they were to disband. Their last live was played on October 3rd, 2004.

Tragically, only about a week after Visage's disbandment, bassist Ryo passed away on October 13th. As for the other members, Hiro started the band gossip, and Ryoki went on to form KuRt with other members from Hanamuke and Misora. Manabu was Ayabie's support drummer for a while, but Satoru seems to have completely disappeared from the music scene.
