Pride of mind

Formed in 1993, Pride of Mind originally consisted of Yusuke Gotoh, better known as Dada of Velvet Eden, on vocals and Atsushi Fukuyama on guitar/synth.

Following the recording of their first demo, Dada left the band, his position being filled by Masaki Haruna, better known as Klaha. The band still lacked a keyboardist, but soon discovered Masanori Ito at a friend's gig. He joined the group but did not play a creative role like the other two members did, Masaki Haruna writing the lyrics and Atsushi Fukuyama acting as the leader of the band as well as composing and arranging the music.

In 1995, Pride of Mind released one more demo and their only album, Systems of Romance, in addition to being featured on a couple of omnibuses. While active, the band also released one live VHS, which was limited to just 100 copies and featured thirty-five minutes of footage from their August 29, 1994 live at Shinsaibashi MUSE HALL.

After their short stint on the scene, Pride of Mind called it quits in 1996. Masaki Haruna resurfaced several years later as Malice Mizer's new vocalist, but the other two members have not been heard from since Pride of Mind's disbandment.
