kelli

kelli was founded in Kansai in 2007 by vocalist Toshimune, bassist Shio and Erize and marhi on guitar. The band released their debut single, Hachimitsu to Cigaretten, in September 2008 and held their first one-man show soon after in December.

In spring 2009, kelli made it official that Yami would be joining them as a session drummer. Since then, they’ve gained new energy for promoting themselves.

The following months kelli performed in some well-known events organized by various labels. However, after their show in Shinjuku on October 29th, the band announced to be taking a break from live performances for the rest of the year, in order to focus on the recording of their upcoming mini-album. No further details are currently known about this release, though they expect it to be ready in spring 2010.
