Tokyo Michael.

Tokyo Michael was formed in November of 2000, when guitarist Yue and bassist Kanata decided to start a band together. Then, on December 15th, vocalist Ikkou joined to perform at their first live, along with a support drummer.

In February of 2001 the band released their first demo-tape, Iroha no Hoheto, which was followed by their second demo-tape in November, called Tokime Cube. Almost exactly a year after their first live, they held their first one man concert at Sunash in Shizuoka. 2002 was not very eventful for Tokyo Michael, though they did re-release Tokime Cube in July of that year.

Things picked up for the band in 2003. They started to tour in July, and held a two man versus concert with Mizelia. They had a few more lives and in October were featured on an omnibus album released by Sequence Records. As the end of the year rolled around, they performed at a special Christmas event with Sulfuric Acid and Mizelia.

February of 2004 brought Tokyo Michael‘s first large multi-band event and the release of their first maxi-single, Dokuritsu Kinebi. In July they held their second two-man concert, this time with Sulfuric Acid, and in August they performed at a three-man event with Dengeki Tomato and Nana. Meanwhile the latter months of 2004 brought Tokyo Michael a great many tour dates, including a Sequence Records coupling tour in October, and a coupling tour with Vinett in November.

The band succeeded in getting noticed more and more, and in late January of 2005 they released their first mini-album, Binume Metro. On the same day they held a one-man concert at Ikebukuro Cyber. This concert was entitled “Ikebukuro Metropolitan.” In September came Tokyo Michael‘s second and last release of the year, a maxi-single called “Romei Blossom”, which was limited to 1000 first-press copies. This was a big single for the band, as it was their first release that sold out. They toured from September until the end of October, and ended the year with a couple of one-man lives in December.

When 2006 began the band wasted no time in starting to tour again, their first live taking place only six days into the new year. They continued to hold concerts on a regular basis from March through May, and in the middle of the tour the band released their first full album, Mukashi Natsukashi Ongen Shu. On June 21st they released the maxi-single Moody Quota, which became their second release to sell out.

In August they held a one-man live at Shibuya O-Crest and took about a month off after that, then picked right back up with touring again in mid-September before releasing the maxi-single Taion near the end of the year.

To begin 2007, Tokyo Michael held a one-man two day event on January 4th and 5th at Shinjuku RUIDO K4. The first part of the year was quite eventful for the band, as they performed a number of lives and are releasing a mini-album by the name of Roguari~ at the end of May.
