IZABEL VAROSA

In July 2004, two young guitarists, KAZUI and Chihiro, decided to create a band. Soon afterward, they were joined by vocalist Hikaru and drummer Fu~ma and in October IZABEL VAROSA officially began activities. Their first performance took place on the 13th and was followed by more lives, during which they distributed an independently produced demo CD.

In January 2005, they were signed to Applause Records, LAREINE's label. Even after creating IZABEL VAROSA, both KAZUI and Fu~ma continued to be LAREINE roadies, so the two bands often performed together. Since IZABEL VAROSA's style was somewhat similar to that of their patron, they gained popularity amongst LAREINE's fans.

In March, Yuda, Emiy's band, broke up and he officially joined IZABEL VAROSA. In that same month they released their first maxi-single, Kyou. It was followed by a mini-album in June, a second maxi in October and a special two-track single, Imitation Mercy/Seasonal Wind, which was distributed during lives.

On November 15th, the band held its first one-man concert at Holiday Shinjuku. Sadly, Fu~ma left on that same day and, while they didn't find a permanent replacement, Enju, formerly of miraleta, became their support drummer. Not having a full line-up didn't discourage them though. In June, they released a new single, followed by a second mini-album accompanied by the band's first PV in July.

Unfortunately, the band's run was short lived and in August, less than two weeks before the scheduled release date of their first full album, Hikaru, Chihiro and Emiy announced that they were leaving the band after their one-man live at Holiday Shinjuku on September 3, 2006. The release of the album was canceled. Initially, fans weren't certain if Kazui would continue with new members, but the band officially disbanded on the night of their final live together.

After IZABEL VAROSA, Chihiro changed his name to Haku and joined ANUBIS, a new band led by LAREINE's Emiru. Following his departure from the band after just six months, he released a solo single, Color Of A Season, in November 2007. Hikaru formed a new band called kanaetai, whose line up included former members of AILE, but the band didn't last long and disbanded before its first birthday. Following that, he was part of SafetyDrugger, but is currently involved with a new project called PIECElang.
