GULLET was formed in 2002, officially beginning activities that August with Ryo (ex-Galruda) on vocals, Satoru (ex-Croix) and Reo on guitars, Yukino (ex-kein and deadman) on bass and aki (ex-Sin) on drums.
Their first CD, a maxi-single titled desert, was released on October 27, 2002. Though the band participated in a few small tours and events, it wasn't until July 5th of the following year that they released another CD, a live only single, acid me. Following this release was another maxi-single called Mad Bless You, which sold out during preorders.
After several one-man performances in November, they released another live only single, hidden baby, and began a five-date one-man tour called Babies in coinlocker that December, with the final held at Meguro Rock May Kan on the 27th. The following day, the band participated in the multi-band BeautiFOOL's Fest alongside MUCC, miyavi, deadman and D'espairsRay, among others.
In early 2004, aki and Reo decided to leave GULLET and their last concert as five members was held on March 22nd at Nagoya Heart Land as a two-man event with deadman. During this time, the remaining members announced their decision to disband and their final show also took place at Nagoya Heart Land on May 21st.
Though GULLET was a short lived band, most of the members have continued on in the music industry. Reo is currently in lynch. and, while Yukino was also a member of the band, he left in 2006 and is now a part of the studs. Also Hibiki, GULLET's support drummer is currently in the studs.
Ryo briefly participated in a project called tosinn and recently returned to the music scene with a new band, 9GOATS BLACK OUT, which is already showing immense promise.
