°C-ute is a pop girl group made up of seven teenage vocalists from the Hello!Project group. They formed in 2005 from those who were not chosen for Berryz Koubou. Even though the group formed that year, it wasn't until May of 2006 that they released their first single, Massara blue jeans. That same year in October, Murakami Megumi left the group for reasons unknown, without a graduation ceremony.

Murakami wasn't replaced until early 2007 by Arihana Kanna. That same year, °C-ute went major and released their first major single, Sakura chirari, on February 21st, which ranked third on the Oricon charts! 2007 was a very busy year for the girls with a total of five DVD releases.

Even though °C-ute has only been around for a couple of years, they have already released a total of two albums, six singles and seven DVDs showing that they have no plans of stopping. We can continue to expect much more from this young group!
