RABBIT was formed in 2003 with a line-up that included members who, for the most part, had worked with each other before in another band. The group had decided to create a positive image for themselves and, beginning with their very first release, the single BURST RUSH in the summer of 2004, RABBIT put a focus on a "smile" as a notable part of their rock music. Nevertheless, all bands have their share of troubles and drummer Akira parted in 2005, reducing the band to four members.

Kenzy "Sammy" Horikawa worked with RABBIT since 2004, first as a producer and later as a support drummer. He's known for his part in Hitoki's (ex. Kuroyume) project, SSS, and for playing support drums for Wyse for several years.

RABBIT's mini album, Sun, was released in August 2006, making way for a lighter sound, which gave them the opportunity to develop in a more versatile direction.

The group's energetic spirit is not tied to the studio alone, as their stage performance is said to be relaxed and humorous. A moment of this atmosphere has made it to film due to the the band's participation in "Bands Shock Tour vol.3" with other bands such as Shelly Trip Realize, Scar. and TRANSTIC NERVE. Recorded material from the tour was released on a DVD called Bands Shock DVD Vol.3 in the spring of 2007.

In the last days of the year RABBIT announced the February release of their first full-length album, UNIVERSE, which seemed to coincide perfectly with their five-year anniversary in March 2008.

However, as the release date got closer, bassist Junya quit appearing at the band's rehearsals, and in February it was announced that he had left the band. The three remaining members acknowledged the loss of one of the original members to have had a notable influence on the motivation of the band, yet they continued by themselves. During the spring, RABBIT had promising performances, including opening for THE TRANSFORMER and SEX MACHINEGUNS and being booked to play at the Fool Mate's Fool's Fest 08 extra STAGE event.

Despite their promising future, in May 2008 the members were ready to announce a disbanding date of August 17th since RABBIT, the band with such a delightfully positive attitude, just wasn't like it used to be. Surprisingly, the trio didn't part ways but formed a new group under the name of A&D on the same date, where they were joined by a bassist called Kage. A&D's first task was to announce a mini album to be released in October 2008.
