Tamaki Nami's beginnings can be seen at a young age when her career took off after being the only one selected from 5,000 other hopefuls in a Sony Music Japan audition in 2003. She is most notably known for contributing music to anime series such as "Gundam Seed", "D.Grey-man", and "Kiba". Her first single Believe became the third opening for "Gundam Seed", accompanied by Realize as "Gundam Seed's" fourth opening reaching number three on Japan's Oricon Chart. Tamaki ended 2003 with her single Prayer.

Tamaki kicked started the 2004 year by releasing Shining Star Wasurenaikara followed by her debut album Greeting, consisting of thirteen tracks which includes a remix of Believe. Following the success of the "Gundam Seed" opening and ending themes, the single Reason was released being the first ending song for "Gundam Seed's" sequel "Gundam Seed Destiny" as well as Tamaki's only single to ever reach the number two Oricon Chart spot. 2004 also marked the year of Tamaki's first U.S. concert held at the Pacific Media Expo along with Jpop singer T.M.Revolution. Tamaki continued to release a stream of singles throughout 2004 and at the 18th Japan Gold Disk Award Tamaki Nami won the New Artist of the Year.

In May 2005 Tamaki's second full-length album Make Progress was released. Including popular tracks such as Fortune and previously released single Reason. Tamaki continued to shine in her musical career by releasing her third album entitled Specialty in July 2006, which includes Sanctuary the opening song from the anime "Kiba". Then on November 26, 2006 she released a greatest hits album, Graduation ~Singles~, in order to celebrate her high school graduation in March 2007.

Since her graduation Tamaki Nami has been able to finally set her career in full motion by performing in the musicals "Sweet Charity" and the Japanese version of "High School Musical". Tamaki has also stared in the live action movie of the anime "Lovely Complex" as Nobuko Ishihara.

Most notable songs on the thirteen-track CD are Brightdown known as the opening theme for the anime "D-Grey-man" and Cross Season being the theme song for a Japanese television show. Tamaki Nami's album is similar to her debut album Greeting where the songs are a combination of Japanese pop and techno, but this time not only has she taken her style of music back to her beginning roots, she also includes a rock flair to her songs creating a more edger sound. Fans will truly enjoy the new album.

Even though Tamaki Nami has slightly changed the composition of her music, she has shown her growth as a major artist and proves to be a great success. Fans can continue to have great expectations of Tamaki Nami while anticipating what she will bring to the table in the near future!
