Luxis began in 2008 as a new project formed around Oda Satomi from O’s. With the addition of back-up vocals Natsuse Hitomi and Matsushita Ado, the solo act grew into a trio.

The group found a means for large scale exposure through television dramas. Their first single, Megami no hohoemi / DOWN TOWN, released in May of 2008 and was used in three different shows. The second song on the release, DOWN TOWN, became the theme song for the Fuji Television drama “Vanilla kibun” in April. The next month, the single’s first track, Megami no hohoemi, was used as the ending song in TV Tokyo’s “Otoryuu.” The final track, Anata to naraba, became another ending theme, this time for TV Tokyo’s “Shujii ga mitsukaru shinryoujo.”

Their association with TV dramas has continued into 2009. This February, they released another single, Tachidomareba ii sa, which became the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s “Muse no bansan My Song, My Life.” Thanks to such extensive television exposure, the young group is off to a very promising start, and we look forward to their future work.
