MEG started her career in 2001 with the single Kasa to Shizuku. She did not stay inactive for long as in 2002, she came out with her next single Scanty Blues. In 2003, the album mgrmx was released, on which she collaborated with the American DJ Theo Parrish as well as other international DJs. This album was afterward also released abroad. The following year, MEG took part in the biggest rave throughout Japan, the WIRE05, in the Yokohama Arena.

She created her own clothing label, Carolina Glaser, in 2004. After that, she continued to appear regularly in fashion magazines. The label now consists of a men’s collection as well a cosmetics range.

In 2006, her album Aquaberry reached the number one spot on the Japanese iTunes store charts straight after its release. It was in 2007, with the single Amai Zeitaku, that she started to work with Yasutaka Nakata, one of the members of capsule; this single reached the number one spot on the electro charts. After Yasutaka produced the single OK, he regularly collaborated with MEG. However, MEG also worked with other musicians, for example, collaborating with the London band, Hadouken! on her single FREAK. She was also the first Japanese person to have a character in the virtual game "Second Life."

MEG's success kept rising as she reached Shibuya’s Tower Records’ national/international charts with the album BEAM - and then her single HEART climbed to the number one spot of the national/international CDs video charts.
On the day of its release, her album, STEP, reached the 5th place on the Oricon charts, and her second album consecutively hit the number one spot in the iTunes Music Store.

In 2009, MEG took part in various events, such as the 10th anniversary of Japan Expo, Paris and Sonic Summer, Tokyo. In the same year, she also released two albums: BEAUTIFUL, featuring the single FREAK, and Journey.
