LONG SHOT PARTY was created in Sendai in 1998 with a common line-up made up of vocals, guitar, bass and drum, but eventually added a brass player.

Soon after their creation, the band self-produced an event called Give me someone I can trust attracting the crowd's attention in a positive way. In 1999, the song Give me someone I can trust was released on an omnibus from the label LOUD MUSIC. The next year, the group released the mini-album making ourselves understood in our sound which was followed by a national tour.

In February 2001, the first maxi-single Walkin' on the road was released and followed by a new tour. The band released a few more new works along with the mini-album sonic which marked a turning point in the band's line-up history. PxOxN took on the role of drummer and a new saxophonist,Kj, as well as trumpeter Ken Iikawa joined the band.

The following year, the band toured to promote their first full-album, DELTA FORCE and ended their 53 date tour with a sold out show at the Kawasaki CLUB CITTA. After that, new changes once again arose as SAITARO joined on bass and the trombonist, Shuhei KIMURA departed, leaving the band with only six members.

In May 2003, LONG SHOT PARTY played as opener for the Japanese tour of the American band SUM41. After two years without releases, the mini-album Razzoodock debuted, followed by a new tour.

In October 2007, LONG SHOT PARTY reached a turning point where they signed DefSTAR Record, a subsidiary of major label Sony Music Japan. In January 2008, the first major single distance was released and was used as the opening theme for the movie "Naruto Shippuden".

In July 2010 the band made its first step towards overseas activity, traveling to Europe to take part in Japan Expo in Paris and simultaneously prepared for the debut of their first major album, LONG SHOT PARTY.

As we now enter the new year, it will be exciting to see what LONG SHOT PARTY has up their sleeve next.
