The LEGENDARY SIX NINE

Nightmare drummer Ruka started The LEGENDARY SIX NINE because he felt that he had music written that didn't fit with Nightmare's style. He invited vocalist Hakuei from PENICILLIN and rapper TWIGY to form a group. Soon, support guitarists Shirobu and Takayama (also known as Misa) joined the band, and bassist Ni~Ya of Nightmare also joined as a support member. Ruka admitted to hoping that with every CD, the members would change to produce the exact quality of the music he wanted to create; rather than molding the music to fit the members, he would mold the members to fit the music.

On January 21, 2010, their official website was made public. Soon following was a flurry of publicity photos and interviews in several noted visual kei magazines. Their first single, Cruel, was released in March, reaching #16 on the Oricon charts. The single included two new songs and a 'secret' third track, a remake of Nightmare's Dirty. This third track is sometimes regarded as a second single. During the same period as the single release, The LEGENDARY SIX NINE participated in Beat Shuffle's Live Side 2010 Spring. These three performances are the band's only live performances thus far.

In April, the official website was closed. There has been no further action by the session band.
