ADAPTER。

ADAPTER。 is the solo project of former metronome guitarist Fukusuke. Mixing danceable electronic music with Japanese spirit, he crafts catchy techno-rock songs with an occasional touch of exotic flavor.

In the year 2005, while he was still working with metronome, Fukusuke began performing under the name ADAPTER。 and released his first mini-album, SOUND SELECT.

More mini-albums and singles followed and, after metronome decided to enter an indefinite hiatus in 2009, Fukusuke began devoting his full attention to his new project. ADAPTER。’s first full-length album, Otoyuugi, was released in March 2011. He also contributed a cover of CASCADE's FLOWERS OF ROMANCE to the second instalment of the popular CRUSH! -90’s V-Rock Best Hit Cover Songs- series.

The year 2012 was an especially busy one for ADAPTER。. He released the single Adeosu in February, which was used as the ending theme to the anime series “BRAVE10”, earning him a small measure of international exposure. 2012 also saw ADAPTER。 perform overseas for the first time when he appeared at the Toronto convention Anime North alongside marlee and lix. ADAPTER。 also released his first greatest hits compilation, Choumon no Juusanshin, that year.

ADAPTER。’s first trip overseas turned out to be just a hint of things to come. Towards the end of 2012, Fukusuke announced that he would be teaming up with Gunji of electro-rock band the fool for a European tour. The two had met at a concert in Shibuya and struck up a strong friendship after Gunji introduced Fukusuke to his Canadian contacts, leading to the aforementioned performance in Toronto. The tour, titled Digital Brothers invade to Euro, began in February 2013 and took them to France, Russia, England, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Earlier that year, Fukusuke also formed a new visual kei band called THE BEETHOVEN with members of DOREMIdan, Jinkaku Radio and Dacco.

So far, 2014 seems like it will be another productive year for ADAPTER。, as Fukusuke has announced that he will release six consecutive singles, one every other month beginning with the venue-only release CLARION on January 13th.
