Silhouette from the Skylit is an alternative rock band originating from Fukuoka. It first appeared in the local music scene under the name Knights of the round in 2007, soon after vocalist Seishirox went back to Japan after living in the US. Throughout that year the band underwent several line up changes. By the end of 2008 Seishirox was the only original member left. He changed the band’s name to SFTS as we know now.

Soon after that bassist Tetsurow joined him, and together they recorded their first demo, titled Expected answer. K.O.U joined them in 2009 as a support member before becoming an official member. That year saw the release of their first single, Everywhere.

In May 2010 SFTS released a new single, titled CRY FOR THE MOON, and later completed their line up with guitarist Rockwell. He influenced SFTS' music greatly, adding more colour and vividness to their songs. Later that year they played as the opening act for the American pop punk band We the Kings during their first Japanese show.

In 2011 all the members moved to Tokyo to expand their activities. Apart from playing shows around Tokyo, SFTS released their first mini-album The Great and Desperate and filmed the music video for Fake and Going to Fade, a song from that mini-album.

SFTS' fourth single came out on July 7th, 2012, and was soon followed by their first full-length album, Arche, which was released on October 3rd. At the beginning of 2013, SFTS signed their first contract with a local label and embarked on an album promotional tour.
