On September 27th,
DaizyStripper came to the finale of their one-man tour
NEVER ENDING SIRIUS which started on July 3rd. With guitarist
Mayu's return to performing live, the band enjoyed a nationwide tour to promote their latest mini album
SIRIUS, released on May 20th. The tour final was broadcast live across the globe online via Nico Nico Douga.
A loud ovation rose as the five members appeared in their new outfits. These featured new designs as well as homages to previous costumes worn over the last eight years. Vocalist
Yugiri, guitarist
Nao, guitarist
Mayu, bassist
Rei, and drummer
Kazami took their places and immediately had fans dancing around with the opening song,
La Vie en Rose.
Yugiri’s powerful high-tone vocal captured fans’ hearts from the beginning, and they responded by clapping their hands and singing along. The well-disciplined audience held each other’s hands as they swayed together during the song’s chorus.
Yugiri continued to stir up fans with his shouts during
DIRTY STARRY while the two guitarists incited fans to headbang along with their powerful guitar strokes. “Let’s enjoy the end of our summer holidays together!”
Yugiri shouted before
SUMMER VACATION. The uplifting groove of
Kazami’s drums and
Rei’s bass made fans dance and shout, but the photogenic bassist later stole the spotlight with his bass solo.
DaizyStripper carried on with one of their classics,
Shikisai Vivid, a melodious number in which
Mayu’s clear guitar sound mesmerized fans. Many girls in crowd screamed when
Yugiri and
Nao kissed each other on the mouth during the song. The unpredictable band continued to thrill fans with
-Z-UNIVERSE. Fans swayed and moshed with the jazzy rhythm. In the following
HELLO, again,
Yugiri pierced fans’ hearts with his rich, androgynous falsetto while
Mayu played emotional guitar riffs alongside his bandmate. After the song, each member took time to speak to fans.
“I think we’ve been able to develop stronger bonds not just among members, but also with you guys and even with people working in this industry,” said
Yugiri.
Kazami was next to speak: “It was quite overwhelming for me to see
Yugiri playing a piano at yesterday’s show. It reminded me of the importance of courage to be not afraid of failure.” Then came
Rei: “I am really thankful to you guys. ‘Tresor’ (fans) is what I live for. We will show you the best future.” Then,
Mayu spoke to fans. “
Rei,
Kazami and myself played the song we used to perform together before we joined
DaizyStripper during the show in Yokohama. It was actually the very song that brought the five of us together. This is the power of music.” Finally,
Nao shared his heart: “It meant a lot to me to be able to have a show in Fukushima, which is the hometown of my late mother. We will take you guys to bigger stages.”
However,
Yugiri changed an emotional mood in the venue as he introduced fans to the next song
Sanketsu Kakumei. “This is our time! We will start a revolution! We are not leaving anyone behind!” the vocalist declared during the song. The fans responded enthusiastically to his call with shouts and pumping fists.
DaizyStripper and the crowd went on a rampage during the show’s climax: audience members swung their heads around at enormous velocities during
Hysterica. The ruthless aggressions and overflowing love of the five men onstage communed with fans’ hearts during
ARREST.
Nao went crowdsurfing during
BLACK DROPPer. Fans also got physical, rushing to the front row when the members started throwing water from the stage. Later during the song,
Kazami came centerstage while
Yugiri took over on drums.
Kazami made certain to ask
Yugiri to give him the fastest possible beat before enjoying a crowdsurf while the singer played full-throttle drum with all of his might.
“I can sing this song because of you guys,”
Yugiri thanked fans before kicking off
DEAR MY SIRIUS. The band’s music and fans’ chorus embraced each other during the song, and the frontman looked overwhelmed to be in the midst of this show of deep spiritual unity in the venue. At the end of the show, the band expressed their gratitude towards fans by playing the benevolent
SWEET DREAM.
During the first encore,
Yugiri stirred fans up with a powerful declaration: “We will take you guys to bigger stages: Nippon Budokan and Tokyo Dome in future. Follow us!” The band then celebrated the grand finale of the tour with
STAY GOLD, in which
Mayu’s sensitivity and
Nao’s strength created a splendid harmony when they played a synchronised guitar solo together. As were saying their farewells, faithful fans actually sung
