Heads up, J-music lovers! We are once again looking for new members to join our team. We are recruiting dedicated, responsible and trustworthy volunteers who are able to work efficiently and regularly to fill the following positions:
Writer (live reports)
Responsibilities:
- Attend concerts and write live reports (press passes will be provided)
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English language
- A flair for writing
- Knowledge of the Japanese language is a bonus
- Punctuality
- Adherence to strict deadlines and rules for the press
Location preference:
- USA (West Coast)
- UK
- Japan (Tokyo)
- Taiwan (Taipei)
Writer (news)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor official sources for new announcements and write news articles based on them
- Write news articles based on provided material
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English language
- Knowledge of the Japanese language is a bonus
- Write news on a regular basis (at least three days per week)
Writer (music reviews)
Responsibilities:
- Write reviews based on provided or personal material
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English language
- A flair for writing
- Wide knowledge of J-music genres and styles
- Knowledge of the Japanese language is a bonus
- Adherence to strict deadlines and rules for the press
Translator
Responsibilities:
- Translate given material from Japanese to English, or vice versa
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English and Japanese language
- Willingness to translate on a regular basis (at least two days per week)
- Efficiency
Beta-reader
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all articles are written in proper English before they're published on our website
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English language
- Knowledge of the Japanese language is a bonus
- A keen eye for language errors
- Ability to do heavy editing where necessary
- Willingness to beta-read on a regular basis (at least two days per week)

In addition to the duties described in this post, all volunteers who are accepted are welcome to participate in our preparation for interviews with various J-music artists, as well as write J-music interest articles.
