Interview with NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST

Five-member heavy metal band NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST's first-ever European tour spans seven countries. Before they embarked on their journey, the band members spoke to JaME about their music and tour in a brief interview.

How would you describe your music and your artistic world?

Hiro: Depending on the song, I like to apply my makeup in a way that shows the song's world.
Masa: We combine all kinds of metal, heavy music and J-rock. We create something original that only Japanese bands can express.

Which artists influence you and with whom would you like to collaborate?

Hiro: Suicide Silence and Lamb of God.
Cazqui: The Black Dahlia Murder, NAGASAKI, Tetsuya Komuro, Yuki Kajiura, LUNA SEA and DIR EN GREY.
Daichi: Envy.
Natsu: Joey from Slipknot.
Masa: Suicide Silence, Whitechapel and DIR EN GREY.

How do you feel about your upcoming and first European Tour?

Cazqui: I will enjoy it.
Daichi: I’m not familiar with many countries because I haven’t visited them yet. I just need to learn more stuff to improve myself.
Natsu: This tour will make us much stronger as samurai.
Masa: We are really excited about this European tour because this is our first time playing shows in Europe.

Is there any city or country that you particularly want to visit? Why?

Cazqui : I want to visit Paris because of the fashion there.
Natsu: Finland because of metal.
Masa: Paris. I'd like to see beautiful streets in Paris.

What can fans expect from your shows?

Cazqui: Superhuman performances.
Daichi: Please enjoy them and don't close your eyes in order not to miss the great shows!
Natsu: Everything.
Masa: All of it.

What are your plans for the future?

Hiro: I’m still looking for my plans.
Cazqui: To continue playing in this band for 20 years.
Masa: Become one of the top Japanese bands and tour all over the world.
