VAMPS "VAMPS LIVE 2017 VAMPADDICT ONLY" at CLUB CITTA'

Rock duo VAMPS performed on April 19th at CLUB CITTA' for the first of the two concerts exclusive to their fan club VAMPADDICT.

Fans hurried to enter the concert hall where a large digital clock was projected onto the stage. At 7pm, the clock displayed 6:60pm and music made it clear to the venue that was full to bursting that the concert would not take long to start. Indeed, the curtain opened at 7:06pm, or rather 6:66pm, the devil's hour.

Under the acclamation of the crowd, HYDE and K.A.Z appeared on stage, illuminated from behind and accompanied by their musicians. Vocalist HYDE talked to the audience with a megaphone with a siren. The first song INSIDE OF ME had just begun and the crowd already went crazy. The temperature remained high for LIPS where K.A.Z proved his incredible guitar skills during the introduction and the guitar solo. Between claps, headbangs and crowd surfs, the fans showed they were having an unforgettable evening.

VAMPS then greeted their fan club during the MC and promised to take all of them to the Underworld that night. The break did not last long and HYDE quickly showed different facets of his voice, going from husky to screams during EVIL. The rhythm slowed down and the atmosphere became heavier for BREAK FREE.

VAMPS exploited all their different music styles: DON'T HOLD BACK was marked by HYDE's soft voice whereas SIN IN JUSTICE was characterized by a stable rhythm and electronic sound effects. During this song, HYDE waved a pirate flag attached to his microphone stand.

The disco ball projected stars throughout the hall during ENJOY THE SILENCE. K.A.Z's melodic and reverberating guitar transported the audience into another world, giving the impression of being in outer space. The next title, BLEED FOR ME, contrasted with this spatial environment as it was heavier and more distinguished by its melodic dissonances.

After came a MC where the two musicians explained that they were doing all the new songs from the album UNDERWORLD, on sale from April 26th. The next song was the eponymous title of the album, UNDERWORLD. While strobe lighting illuminated the hall of blue and green, fans sang "take you to the underworld" together.

HYDE then grabbed a guitar to play AHEAD alongside K.A.Z. Amidst new discoveries, fans enjoyed hearing this song they all knew well. After RISE OR DIE, another song from the new album UNDERWORLD, it was time for CALLING, the latest single that places an emphasis on the guitar part.

During BLOODSUCKERS, the lights changed to take on a tint that resembled the color of blood. Many fans were crowd surfing as HYDE screamed and growled. The fans showed their satisfaction at the end of the song by making the V sign for VAMPS. The last title before the encore was DEVIL SIDE and the crowd enjoyed this famous song by headbanging.

The duo returned for an encore by waving the pirate flag again. Everyone jumped and clapped their hands during the chorus of REVOLUTION II. Then followed a new, enthralling song B.Y.O.B. (BRING YOUR OWN BLOOD) that the audience seemed to have already adopted. The final was SEX BLOOD ROCK N’ ROLL, where the crowd was in a frenzy and poured out its remaining energy.

The lucky members of the fan club enjoyed a concert rich in novelties, discovering in preview the album UNDERWORLD. International fans were not forgotten as VAMPS went on a US tour in May, performing in 18 American cities.
