SILENT SIREN at Musician's Institute, Los Angeles

Celebrating their fifth anniversary, the girls of SILENT SIREN concluded their WORLD TOUR 2017 "Shin sekai -The New World-" in the US with two stops, Los Angeles being the first. These girls are no strangers to the Musician’s Institute as they played at this concert hall just last year. Their presence shining on the stage again, leader and drummer Hinanchu, bassist Ainyan, keyboardist Yukarun and vocalist/keyboardist Suu came out in their white sailor uniforms. They riled up their “SaiSai Family” with Fujiyama Disco, Yoshida-san and BANG!BANG!BANG!.

After an amazing opening, the girls spoke English to the crowd, introduced themselves and talked about their time in Los Angeles. One of the members mentioned their trip to Melrose Avenue, a popular street in between Beverly Hills and Santa Monica Boulevard that is often visited by tourists from around the world. Towards the end of the first MC, the band members shared a quick fun story about Universal Studios and how they got soaked on the Jurassic Park Ride, bringing lots of laughter to the fans.

The band continued to play hit songs such as Hachigatsu no yoru, joshikou sensou, Sweet Pop! and DanceMusiQ, taken from their recent compilation album Silent Siren Selection. They even played Kaleidoscope and Just Meet, which are songs from a soon-to-be-released album called GIRLS POWER.

During the last MC, the members held a brief 10-minute Q&A with their beloved fans. At some point during this interaction, one bold audience member asked if he could play a song for Suu on her guitar. After a brief pause, Suu excitedly said, “Of course!” As the fan made his way up to the stage, the crowd in their amazement couldn’t believe what was happening and cheered madly for one of their own. The bold fan played a short melody that had the girls impressed. In the middle of his arpeggio, Hinanchu joined in with her drums. Afterwards, the girls proclaimed that this is the first time something like this happened and it was definitely a unique show moment that occurred in Los Angeles!

For their encore, SILENT SIREN closed out the show with KAKUMEI and Bii-san. Before taking their leave, the band squeezed in a quick group shot with their Los Angeles fans. As the girls walked off the stage, they thanked the fans again for coming out to see them and supporting them. SILENT SIREN promised they will be back soon!
