JaME's 20th Anniversary: Comment from ASH DA HERO

An ambitious band with an energetic sound that blends together rock, punk and hip-hop, ASH DA HERO have been making waves both in Japan and internationally in recent years due to their powerful live performances and multiple tie-ups with the anime series "BLUE LOCK."

Their song Judgement was used as an opening theme for "BLUE LOCK" in 2023, and they performed at Texas convention Anime Matsuri that year. JaME first interviewed the group that year as well, learning about their history, influences and creative process. We also had the chance to cover their show at SUMMER STATION Ongaku Live in Japan that August.

This May, the two title tracks from their double A-side single titled Beast Mode / Octave were featured in the film "Blue Lock -Episode Nagi-," and the band appeared as musical guests at Pittsburgh convention Tekko 2024 in July. Just before their appearance at the convention, we had the opportunity to interview the band a second time, and they kindly recorded a video message for JaME's 20th anniversary celebration as well.
