Aoi's Performance at Kanazawa AZ

Birds singing and a human heartbeat were just some of the sound effects played through speakers to set the mood at Kanazawa AZ Hall. The stage, foggy and blue, simulated a blue sea, from which you could hear Aoi's sweet voice vibrating from the heavens, crossing time and space. Slowly spreading guitar sounds rang over the ambient sound effects, the lights changed to red, then VISION started rhythmically with low piano sounds. Aoi, with his hair flowing, who wore a gothic style long black coat and a cross necklace, leaned on his microphone stand and sang the slow ballad enthusiastically, gradually moving onto the catchy main melody.

In the flashing light, GHOST IN THE SHELL started and Aoi danced provocatively along with the music, to the delight of the audience. It was an adult rock piece in which drums, bass and guitar sounds were synchronized and featured a guitar solo. The upbeat replay followed. Unable to suppress his emotions from gushing out, Aoi threw down the microphone stand and shouted.

After the introduction of the support members, his new song EDEN began. The dramatic intro with its fast tempo, orchestra and piano sounds developed into their engaging main melodies. The subject of the song was the love between a man and woman that would eventually lead to their downfall. The drums and the bass sounded heavily, over which clear guitar sounds were scattered like jewels, painting vivid images in the hearts of everyone, which surely won't soon be forgotten.

Is he an angel or a devil? His neutrality, beautiful face and romantic appearance with sweet voice, give him a mysterious, if somewhat unearthly presence. Ignoring the usual boundaries, Aoi listens to music from all over the globe, traveling around in his world of images freely. Anything he encounters is fate, no matter how short or insignificant it may seem, and those encounters are all part of a story, a part of him and his music.
