Sel’m's one-man live the Last Supper KEY WORD "4" was held at Meguro Rock Maykan on November 9th. The live was sold out, the small live house filled with both boys and girls wanting to see Sel’m's last performance as a four-piece band.

Right on schedule, the bright lights of the venue were replaced by the flashing stage lights and enough smoke to fill the whole room. People started clapping and one by one the members came on stage, wearing pretty dark, casual-looking outfits. The only one not looking for casual was the guitarist who stood out a little, wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy jacket.

They started loud and heavy with Megalomania and before Tora took the microphone into his hands, he teased the audience as he usually does, putting his finger in his mouth. The other members stood quietly in their positions but when Road of judgment started, they all began to move around and not even their leader and drummer Manji could sit still. The heavy blast beats made him stand up, while still head banging and almost growling along with Tora, who was great with the enthusiastic audience.
Before the third song started, the vocalist made the crowd follow his dancing and the stage turned red and he began to sing. During the instrumental parts of DEADLOCK, he tied the microphone cord around his neck like he was about to hang himself. He stood like this for a while making the performance very dramatic.

After the song ended, the band had something that looked like a short jam session which gave the audience a minute to calm down and breathe freely before the fourth song started. During this song Tora truly showed everyone how much his voice had progressed and how well he could control his vocals. He also used the front area of the stage a lot, which the fans really seemed to appreciate. By Sel’m 's fifth song it was easy to see that all their songs were crowd favourites and there was not one moment where their fans were bored. The whole band was very energetic and their tiny vocalist sang perfectly in every song.
As barefaced eye began, Tsubaki and Takuma spread their legs giving room for head banging. Tora obviously saw a lot more potential in the audience so he asked them to jump and they followed his commands. It was especially fascinating to watch Manji during this song, as you could easily see his passion for music. He looked so charged up and full of character and it was a pleasure for everyone attending the concert to watch him in action like that.

The next song was the first time that Tora actually used his microphone stand and this time it was easy to see that he didnt need to be so energetic and crazy to be a good performer. There was no doubt about the fact that he looked like he was born to be on the stage. Whirl pool had a really good atmosphere and both the audience and the band gave their all to the moving and catchy music. When Tora wasn't licking the microphone, he swayed from side to side, almost hypnotically, moving his hips to the beautiful melody of the song.
The band then took a small break but only a minute or two later, the concert continued beautifully, with songs such as Oriental Lilly and Kyouka suigetsu. The calm atmosphere soon ended and Sel’m kicked off again with a fast song that didn't leave any room for relaxing. Shingigan was up next and was probably the best sounding song of the set. Its sound quality was close to that of the CD and all the band members really enjoyed playing this song. From time to time, Tora would look at his audience like a proud father and smile to them with a look that screamed "Thank you". It was great to see how much they appreciated their fans. Takuma came up to Tora during the chorus and soon Tsubaki followed. It seemed like a very proud moment for the band. Manji would certainly have loved to stand next to his three band members, but he was playing so furiously and was putting so much energy into the performance that it almost looked like he was in another dimension.

Sel’m played a couple more songs, putting as much energy in them as they could before they went off stage. The venue was immediately filled with cries for an encore. They soon came back, playing Setsu and Uruwashii shikai wa urei na tsumi, two quite calm songs compared to the others, though the audience seemed to enjoy this change of atmosphere. After these two songs, the band left the stage, but it didn't quite look like they were ready to leave for good that evening. Shortly after the band's exit, amidst shouts for yet another encore, Sel’m re-emerged, this time wearing black band T-shirts.

Secret Number lifted up the energy once more and this time the guys in the audience actually danced a lot more than the girls. For this encore they played a set of three faster songs including a new song and after two hours of dancing and head banging it was no wonder that the air at Rock Maykan was getting heavier. Nonetheless, Sel’m performed as the top quality band that they are and as soon as the third song DEVASTATION ended, Tora had his first MC of the evening. He started off by thanking the fans for coming and giving their all to their songs. Because of their dedicated fans, the energy and the mood of the evening had been at their highest. Then Tora continued to announce that this concert was their last as a four-man band as they would, starting from tomorrow, have a new member to complete their lineup. It was exciting to think how a fifth member could alter and improve their already impressive music.

Sel’m truly seemed to be ready to put their four-man band history behind them but, before doing so, they played a third and final encore. The passion and emotion of both the band and the audience filled up the whole room. The concert had gone above and beyond every expectation and even though the young band still had room for improvement, they showed everyone that all their hard work was not wasted. They were certainly looking forward to a new start with much gratitude and no regrets. It's exciting to see what the future will bring for this upcoming band and what they will do next, but with so much talent in the group, we're sure that it will be something worth looking forward to.
