Danger Gang ~ shinshun EVENT ~ shikkoku no sinfonii

The all female visual kei band Danger Gang took part in an event celebrating the New Year held at Urawa Narciss, Saitama. Six other bands also performed at the event, including Byakura, Hi:BRiD, Jigoro, AibeLL, PRIMEADDICT and Vettic.

Many people had come to see the event and the small venue was packed with people. Danger Gang fans had to wait all night to see their idols as they were the last band to perform. After the second to last act of the night finished, the band's fans filled the front of the venue taking up two full rows.

The SE started and the members of Danger Gang came on stage one by one saluting their fans who cheered and saluted back, raising their fists in the air. The show started when vocalist Waka ran on stage and took her spot in the middle of the stage. The cheerful Shiny drop started playing and fans raised their arms to move their hands along with the music. During the chorus they moved their arms from side to side accompanying Waka's vocals. During the guitar solo of the red haired guitarist Hiko, the fans and the rest of the audience waved their hands in unison honouring her solo.

The show went on with FINAL DANCE starting, a song which is heavier than its predecessor Shiny drop. The fans raised their hands and hit the air with their fists following the beats of Rei's drums, and Hiko and the band's bassist Thera seemed to be dancing while playing their own instruments. Waka sang the high pitched chorus with true emotion and seemed like she was looking at everyone in the audience straight in the eyes, smiling kindly.

The ambiance was taken to the next level with Retsu and the fans headbanged with fury and danced with the music during the softer parts of the song. Waka growled over the audience and Hiko roared with her while Thera headbanged with the members of the audience. During the chorus of Retsu the fans again raised their arms and moved them accurately together. The song ended with the fans and members of Danger Gang head banging head to head.

After Retsu the band gave the audience a short chance to catch their breath and held an MC thanking everyone for coming to see them. Singer Waka and the other members made jokes and kept the audience laughing till the end of the MC. Then they all too up their own positions and Waka announced the next song to be a new one and the fans cheered excitedly. They jumped and cheered throughout the song which represented the band's old and energetic style, but with a new twist and flavour.

The racy atmosphere continued with DUTY and as the first tunes of the song burst out from the speakers the two rows of Danger Gang fans raised their fists in the air, ready for action.

The fans jumped and danced with the music and the members of Danger Gang stepped from side to side and also seemed to be dancing. They also jumped every time the audience jumped and they kept smiling and waving to the members of the audience, not forgetting to salute a single face. During the chorus the venue was filled with hands moving from side to side and Hiko and Thera followed the movement and moved from side to side, bending their bodies and interacting with the audience with huge smiles on their face. During the guitar solo the audience waved towards Hiko and Waka joined them, which made everyone laugh. Occasionally the song took up a rougher pace and the fans head banged with Waka growling over them. The song followed the same path to the end and the band looked very happy and you could see smiles on their faces as well as the audience's.

After DUTY the band left the stage and their fans started to call for an encore. During events the last performer of the evening can perform an encore if their audience demands it. Soon the four female rockers appeared on stage again, sweet drummer Rei being the first to take up her place behind the drum set. The always cheerful Thera thanked the audience for the chance to do an encore and MAD VAIN, the last song of the night, started.

During the song Waka instructed everyone to hit the air with their fists and even the people standing at the back of the venue followed her lead. During the beautiful chorus people again followed the pace of the music and waved their arms smiling to the members of the band who smiled back. The song acted as the perfect closing for the night, as it was happy but also a little wistful. The fantastic charisma of Danger Gang and the rawness of their live performance was sprinkled on top, completing the whole thing. The band left the stage waving goodbye and the show ended with the fans turning their happy faces towards each other to discuss the performance.
