DaizyStripper - Stairway to the New World at Shibuya O-WEST

On March 15, DaizyStripper held their sixth one-man, Stairway to the New World, at Shibuya O-WEST. The live was so popular that even seats originally set aside were used and second floor tickets were added to the sales. After a whimsical SE and the live's welcome message, the band members took to the stage.

The live started with TRUTH and Baby Kingdom, and the fans pumped their fists in the air and jumped, stirred up right from the opening. Vocalist Yu-giri yelled: "I've been wanting to see you! We're DaizyStripper! Get psyched with all your energy and let's go!" During Shirochou ranbu ~White Butterfly~ when Yu-giri crossed his arms, the fans followed suit, crossing their arms in the same way. Bassist Rei played in the center of the stage and guitarist Nao played moving around. In Rude boy and Tusmi na batsu we were able to hear solos from guitarists Nao and Mayu, respectively. The fans were absorbed by Yu-giri's voice during Brilliant Days, a song where Mayu played the acoustic guitar.

Yu-giri continued with an MC. "We're finally starting our sixth one-man live, Stairway to the New World! It's all thanks to you that each time we have a one-man we've been able to get a big concert hall, and it's also because of you that we're able to have our sixth one-man live!" Then the members introduced themselves in the order of vocalist Yu-giri, guitarist Mayu, who is also the leader, bassist Rei, guitarist Nao and Kazami on drums and piano. Yu-giri said: "The five of us are going on a rampage, so you all go crazy too, until the end!" The fans headbanged and pumped their fists in the air to Juliet no knife and endorphin., and the two guitarists switched places, exciting the fans even more.

Next was a drum solo from Kazami. A clown appeared on stage and interacted with the fans, and he called out to Kazami as he played. During Rei's solo, two masked men appeared and riled everyone up. After Rei blew a kiss to the fans, the hall really heated up for his jam session with Kazami's drums.

Next was Nao and Mayu. Music with a country air started playing, and then someone in a horse costume appeared with the guitarists. The audience was surprised when Nao started to dance with the horse while Mayu played his guitar, and soon after all three were dancing together.

For the final solo, Yu-giri appeared, and while making mistakes here and there he played Dandelion on the piano and the fans sang along. When the song ended, he called Kazami to the stage and announced the next song, SMILE WORLD, saying, "This is a song we made with the intention of making you all smile." With Kazami on piano and Yu-giri singing softly, the fans were mesmerized. When the song ended, the applause was loud and Yu-giri responded: "Thank you."

Then the other members took to the stage and each one spoke their thoughts about the live. Mayu began: "Hey! This was incredible, WEST! The time went too quickly. If I could I would do it all over again from the start." Rei was next: "I've been waiting for this day! To do a live with the best members and the best fans!" Nao: "I knew today's live could only be fun! We started the dance two months ago!" Yu-giri: "I'm so happy so many people came out for us. And now for the song that everyone came to know DaizyStripper through." He announced Dandelion. The fans punched the air as the stage lit up and Yu-giri held the mic out to the fans so that everyone could sing together. In Shikisai vivid and Hoshizora to kimi no te, the audience waved their hands left and right in the air, and during TRIGGER they got rowdier, calling out to the members.

Yu-giri addressed the crowd again, announcing their fansite: "Our fansite KISS is now open! Let's all make it together!" He also presented their upcoming live plans: "After this, we're going on a summer tour to Hokkaido, Sendai, Niigata, Nagoya, Osaka and Okayama! Tokyo will be August 28 at Ebisu Liquidroom!" This was followed by the hard songs Black DROPPer, MR.UNCHAIN and Little BallErina, and after Yu-giri's "thank you" the band members left the stage.

Soon after, in response to calls for an encore, the members returned to the stage. Yu-giri announced the new PV Dearest and they performed the song. Although it was an unfamiliar song, it was the one for which fans showed the most excitement. Yu-giri continued: "I think we were able to make a really good PV. It's been confirmed that it will be on sale on June 3, please go to the official home page for details! The next song is the last one. Like the title of this live, which indicates a new world, March is the time of graduating, a season for encounters and separations, and new departures. We made this song with that idea in mind." During Harumeku bokura, Mayu played the acoustic guitar and the stage was lit with a pink light. Like the title (which means "We who are showing signs of spring"), the song conveyed a feeling of spring. During the song, heart-shaped confetti fell throughout the hall like a present to the fans. After it ended, the five members joined hands, gave a low bow and left the stage.

After the band had left the stage, TRUTH began to play. The fans sang along in unison and before the song ended the members returned to the stage. Yu-giri said: "We thought we'd come back if you all sang loudly. You guys were really loud, so we came out! There's a song we forgot. Everyone be careful, but go wild!" And with that, the fans headbanged and moshed left and right to the familiar song decade, which capped off the concert wonderfully.
