A Day with vistlip and Live Report

The weather was surprisingly cool compared to previous day when Tomo, Yuh, Umi and Rui arrived at the Hokkoku Newspaper Building. Tohya was unfortunately absent due to illness. The members took the elevator to Radio Kanazawa, situated on the 15th floor, where they recorded comments for radio programs and was interviewed by Hokkoku Newspaper, with -OZONE- as the main topic. “Since we are under the same ozone on Earth, we are all connected together as one. It has now been three years since we formed this band, and to commemorate we made this song to treasure the bonds we have between us and also with our fans.”

After that, the members enjoyed a brief stroll along Kanazawa’s stone pavement near a rustling stream, took a short lunch and then proceeded to Hokuriku Broadcast: MRO. There, they recorded a week’s worth of comments for the program Pucchi M, with each member taking making a comment for each day of the week. We could feel their pleasant mood and friendly camaraderie as they fooled and joked around with one another. After that, the members proceeded to FM Ishikawa and recorded two comments for radio programs. They talked about their impressions of Kanazawa as well as summertime, subjects which excited the members to the point that the program ran over the time limit. Before departing from FM Ishikawa, the members signed autographs, wrote messages and took photos, then ended the day.

vistlip continued their stylish wave MAX ’09 local tour until the live in Osaka BIG CAT on August 9. The tour's final live will commence in Club CITTA Kawasaki on August 16. It is a pleasure to see and be part of the growth of these young members with their bright, fresh personalities. Hopefully, Tohya will recover soon, so we can see all five members play together on stage.


Live Report

stylish wave MAX ’09 is a live event organized by Zy/star child. It was held in Kanazawa AZ on July 30. Seven bands - -OZ-, Canzel, MoNoLith, Sel’m, CELLT, vistlip and Irokui. - appeared at the live event.

The performance started with the dimming of the venue, which was followed by guitar riffs. The audience began to cheer and the members of vistlip appeared on the stage. With clear, beautiful piano playing resonating throughout the venue, the live commenced with Dead Cherry. Yuh played his guitar over Rui's low bass, which complemented Tomo’s vocals and Umi’s rapping. The audience pumped their fists into the air during the bright songs, while the members moved around the stage. In the following song, the surface, the guitarists changed positions with each other, and Umi bent his body while slamming on his guitar. Yuh played a quick guitar solo, tapping stylishly. Umi performed some heavy riffs that excited the audience, who immediately bounced to the driving music.

During their MC, the members joked about Tohya, who couldn’t play in the live due to illness, and they talked about their new release, -OZONE-. The live reached its climax with the last song AYA. Low, grunting noises and low-pitched screams filled the air alongside the sound of the crazed audience headbanging and pumping their fists. The heavy riff and the sychronised flashing lights completed the wild atmosphere. “We’ll do our best to make sure all five of us can stand here and play for you soon! Keep supporting us!” With those parting words, they then left the stage, and the live was brought to an end.
