My Little Lover - Otononai sekai/Toki no bell

Peace, joy and ease.

On My Little Lover’s maxi-single Otononai sekai/Toki no bell are two wonderful light songs immortalized on one CD. Both were used for TV shows and commercials - Otononai sekai was used on the TBS program “Love Letter” and Toki no bell was used in the commercial for Daihatsu Mira. Also included on the single are two fascinating acoustic songs from the acoakko Live Tour.

The title song is a soft, enchanting love song that invites you to dream, and it rises to an atmospheric song for springtime due to its beautiful acoustic interplay of strings, guitar and piano. Toki no bell, in contrast, possesses a lively, playful and a slightly old-fashioned character; moreover it makes you smile with its childish musical and singing style.

The first track from the acoakko Live concerts is the soft, emotional, melacholy acoustic ballad Hello,Again~mukashi kara aru basho~. It creates a feeling of homesickness in the listener, but despite the sad undertone, it's exciting to hear this Irish-inspired track from the very beginning. Ai to heiwa is very fascinating as well. Here, the peace isn’t only hiding in the title, but also in the music itself. It brings you peace and carries you away for a moment. The very last two tracks are the instrumental versions of both title songs.

In spite of a total run time of approximately 33 minutes, the CD comes to an end unbelievably fast. If you're not careful, you'll miss the instrumental counterparts of the acoustic songs. It's hard to find so much peace, joy and happiness on a single CD, and this disc can be enjoyed by anyone who is seeking a bit peace in this hectic world.
