the GazettE has been working vigorously performing lives in 2010. Starting with their tour in the spring, they followed in the summer with the GazettE TOUR10 NAMELESS LIBERTY SIX BULLETS 01. In autumn, they embarked on the GazettE TOUR10 NAMELESS LIBERTY SIX BULLETS 02 with the final being in Tokyo Dome. During this tour, some shows were postponed due to the bad condition of vocalist Ruki, but today’s performance showed no problems there.

When they appeared on stage, the band wore costumes from their new single Red, released on September 22nd, and they started the set by playing Red. The stage was illuminated with red light and the audience was shrouded in the GazettE’s world. The next songs, HEADACHE MAN and AGONY are some of their more famous ones, and the audience was so excited, it could be felt on the second floor.

Ruki worked up the audience, saying, “Saitama! Are you ready?”, which was met by thunderous applause. For Hyena, guitarists Uruha and Aoi, joined by bassist Reita played at the front of the stage. Things took on a dark note in 13 STAIRS and Ruki’s voice carried well. When he shouted, the audience responded by shouting and head banging. The next song, SHIVER, which is a theme song for the anime "Kurishitsuji", is a pop number but was well expressed and still characteristic of the band.

Then the stage went dark, and silence fell over the hall. Ruki appeared lit by a spot light. They played the ballad Taion, and the audience listened attentively until the finish of Aoi’s guitar sound. DIM SCENE also let the crowd feel the delicate sensibility of the GazettE.

Ruki addressed the audience again: "We haven’t played in Saitama in a long time. I know you are ready, so let's riot, Saitama!" Then Aoi, Reita, Ruki and Uruha gathered in front of the drum set. The audience screamed and the band started Nausea&Shudder. The fans moved their hands beautifully to the music and the guitar solo from Aoi to Uruha was perfect. During THE $OCIAL RIOT MACHINE$, not only the audience but also the members were head banging. Ruki stirred up the audience, yelling, “Riot!”

In COCKROACH and DISCHARGE, the head banging of the audience was especially dynamic. Filth in the beauty was the last of the main set, and everyone including the members made a sea of head banging.

After ending the set, the members responded to calls of encore, coming back to the stage through the passageways on each side, bassist Reita and drummer Kai first. Reita called out, "Just feel and move, Saitama!" Kai added, "Don’t worry about what other people think - that's not what lives are about. Come with us! Let's go, Saitama!" For Ride with the ROCKERS, after the bass and drum played alone, Aoi and Uruha joined, spurring on the audience.

Finally, Ruki appeared on the stage, and they played Anti pop. For this song, not only did the members sing the chorus, the audience also sang together. The hall was heated up. After that, when Ruki announced the next song REGRET, the hall was filled with cheers and screams. It's a rare event for them to play this song at a live.

Ruki then spoke to the crowd. "We are really grateful to have this time with you. I know you have enjoyed other visual-kei lives. But we're doing a live that will make you forget those lives. Are you ready, Saitama!”

During Kantou dogeza kumiai, the members went through the passageway and came back, stirring up the audience. The last song was LINDA ~candydive Pinkyheaven~. The audience moshed as if they were in a small live house. The members and audience were then lit brightly, and the live finished. When Ruki left the stage, he said, “We’ll work to keep this mood all the way to the final in Tokyo. Today was so great! I love you! Thank you!”

For this live, even the staging and lighting were very impressive. But the audience probably took little notice of that, enjoying the GazettE's live to the fullest and ending up sweaty and excited. It’s definitely worth seeing this band in any venue. The tour final at Tokyo DOME on December 26th will be their biggest venue for the tour. The final has attracted a lot of attention and people are excited to see how their performance will be.
