Golden Bomber - Memeshikute / Nemutakute

Released August 24, Golden Bomber has returned with another catchy single, Memeshikute / Nemutakute. The double A-side has ranked first place on the Oricon Indies Charts and fourth place on the Oricon Weekly Charts — impressive!

The release contains Golden Bomber’s most well-known track, Memeshikute. During its original release on October 21, 2009, Memeshikute charted 77th place on the Oricon Weekly Charts and fourth place on the Oricon Indies Charts.

Nemutakute carries the same melody as Memeshikute but with different lyrics. Nemutakute has been used as the theme song in two CM’s for the flavored energy drink, Megashaki.

The track Memeshikute -K-POP version- is where most of the focus of the single should be placed. Golden Bomber re-recorded their popular 2009 hit, Memeshikute, and altered the pitch and tone of the vocals to sound sillier, thus changing the meaning of the song. Poking fun at the Korean music industry with its mad array of Hallyu groups, Golden Bomber has loosely parodied SNSD by wearing white blouses, short shorts and pink belts, similar to SNSD’s costume style in both the PV for Gee and Genie combined. The PV for Memeshikute -K-POP version- displays similar choreography and an emphasis on long, thin legs. All in all, Memeshikute -K-POP version- should be taken lightly.

Memeshikute/Nemutakute is available in a total of three types: Type A, B and a regular edition. Type A includes two photo cards, one of Kiryuuin and one of Jun. Lyrics for all three tracks are printed on the reverse side; the lyrics for Memeshikute –K-pop version- are in Korean and have katakana furigana to aid with pronunciation.

Type B includes two photo cards, one of Kyan and one of Kenji and also has lyrics printed on the reverse sides of the photocards.

Between Type A and B, both contain live footage from a live at C.C.Lemon Hall on May 8, 2011 as well as the making of PVs and two of their own versions of the Nemutakute CM per type, starring each Golden Bomber member.
