GOTCHAROCKA

GOTCHAROCKA is a visual kei band consisting of established musicians from the well-known, but disbanded groups Vidoll, Phantasmagoria and Charlotte. They officially debuted in August 2012 with the single, Hydrag, but had started activities as early as mid-June by holding secret lives to small audiences throughout the month and into July.

GOTCHAROCKA’s name derives from the Japanese onomatopoeia “gaccha gaccha” (the sound of clattering; of noise), but it is pronounced like “gotcha” to give it an American-sounding twang, combined with “got to rock”, which represents the members' need to play music.
