May J.'s double best-of album
May J. W BEST -Original & Covers- will be released in five different types on January 1st. The album has two discs: the first disc including 16 original songs and the second disc containing 15 carefully selected cover songs.
The first disc features her latest ballad
Hontō no koi, the uptempo
Sunshine Baby!, the theme song for the Japanese dubbed version of Disney's "Frozen"
Let It Go~arino mama de~ (end song) and a bunch of standard numbers in her concerts. In addition, her first single
HERE WE GO feat. VERBAL is also included: the song was originally released when she was signed with NeOSITE DISCS under Ki/oon Records. Also, not only is a new version of fan favourite
Arigatō included, but brand two new songs:
So Beautiful and
My Sweet Dreams.
The second disc will feature the hit song
Garden feat. DJ KAORI, Diggy-MO', Clench & Blistah, a cover of
Utada Hikaru's
First Love, the theme song of Disney's "Aladdin"
A Whole New World, which she sang with
Chris Hart, and a well-known musical number from "Les Misérables",
I Dreamed a Dream.
The 2CD+DVD edition includes a selection of her music videos and over an hour of documentary footage about the eight years that have passed since her debut. The 2CD+3DVD and 2CD+2Blu-ray editions include the aforementioned documentary footage, over 30 music videos, and selected concert videos that span her career.
Moreover, she will hold a concert at the Nippon Budokan, in Tokyo, on January 18th, a huge milestone for all Japanese artists.
