SID Bassist Aki to Make Solo Debut

SID's bassist Aki has revealed plans to release a full-length solo album on January 28th under the name AKi.

The album, ARISE, is said to feature a strong rock sound while creating new sounds in order to give something unique to fans. It can also be seen as a test and showcase of AKi's skills, as he wrote, composed and sang all 11 tracks, with lyrics in both Japanese and English.

ARISE features an impressive line-up of guest musicians, including miya from MUCC on guitar and drummers Toshi Nagai (GLAY support) and Motokatsu Miyagami (ex-THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS).

In conjunction with the release of ARISE, AKi will appear at a series of instore events at Tower Records. More details can be found on his Facebook page.
