New Album from Kanojo in the display

An alternative rock band, Kanojo in the display's sound is not contained just by genres such as emo, metal, hardcore or screamo, but exists in a brand new axis of Japanese rock. The band's new album JAPANESE ORDER was released on December 3rd. It includes eight songs.

The band's name might sound funny at first, but according to an interview with drummer Mutō it means that his girlfriend is an anime character. This hints at the fact that the band members were influenced by Japanese subcultures like anime, manga, video games and so on.

Their hometown is Fukuoka, a city in the south of Japan, and a local radio station FM Fukuoka had the song PLATINUM from the new album in heavy rotation throughout December 2014. Kanojo in the display are ambitiously appearing at a number of events and music festivals nationwide to promote it as well. On January 20th, they will perform alongside girugamesh in Nagasaki.

The band will embark on a tour of Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka in March, titled JAPANESE ORDER TOUR -Soro soro album mo suri kireta desho?-. The days in Tokyo and Fukuoka are one-man shows, and the subtitle is also rather funny, meaning "your copy of the album is worn out now, isn't it?"
