Through several announcements on SuG's homepage, it was revealed that vocalist Takeru's voice isn't in the best state. He has been suffering from chronic inflammation/tonsillitis.

Takeru has been dealing with issues like asthma and frequent 40℃ fevers since last year, but after consulting with a doctor he has decided to take some time away from band activities to have his tonsils removed, plus any extra time to recover.

Depending on the directions from his doctor, Takeru may be forced to sit out from the band's fan club live at Liquid Room on March 9th, on SuG's special "39"-themed day.

The members and staff thank fans for always supporting SuG and apologize for any inconveniences, but they wish for Takeru to focus on his recovery.

Still, fans can look forward to the release of BLACK, coming up in March. SuG opened a special site for the release, and the PV for BLACK was uploaded onto YouTube, touting that "black is an even more colourful colour" in its tagline.

SuG made the bold decision to leave their record label PS Company at the end of 2013 and went on an indefinite hiatus. The members recouped and rebranded themselves before reviving with the release of MISSING while maintaining a steady fanbase, under a new label, Fam Entertainment. In short, SuG have definitely overcome all the challenges that have come their way in recent years and seem ready to take on many more. We wish Takeru a smooth recovery.
