Visual rock band D=OUT's vocalist will make his solo debut under the name Hanamizakura Kouki.
His first single I love Tokyo will be released in three different types on February 18th. The CD has three songs and an instrumental version of the title track. The bonus DVD included with limited edition A has a music video and making-of footage for I love Tokyo. Likewise, the bonus DVD for limited edition B has a music video and making-of footage for Yukiguni. Only the regular edition has an extra track, Santo monogatari.
I love Tokyo is reminiscent of Latin ballroom dance music, but the record label has described it as "Mood Kayō", which can probably be best expressed in English as "Japanese adult contemporary music".
Hanamizakura will hold a release event at a shopping mall in Tokyo on February 19th. You can watch the performance for free, and you can take part in a handshake event if you bring along a copy of the single on the day. Fans who buy all three versions can also take a picture with Hanamizakura.
Hanamizakura will perform both with D=OUT and as a solo artist at PS COMPANY's music festival on April 5th in Tokyo too.
I love Tokyo's music video has already been uploaded. You can check out Hanamizakura's new music style below:
