Funk rock band THEATRE BROOK are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their major debut this year with a brand new album.
Titled LOVE CHANGES THE WORLD, it will be released on July 29th. The album will feature ten tracks, including a new version of Mou ichido sekai o kaeru no sa and covers of John Lennon's (Just Like) Starting Over and Lighthouse's One Fine Morning.
A number of the band's friends will also make guest appearances on the album, including: Kazuyoshi Saito, Takeshi Hosomi (the HIATUS), Char, Kenji Furuya (Dragon Ash), TOSHI-LOW (BRAHMAN), Tetsu Takano (ZIGZO) and many more.
To make the release even more unique, the band hopes to record it using only solar power. Frontman Taiji Sato has been at the helm of a solar-powered music festival called THE SOLAR BUDOKAN since 2012, and driven by its success, THEATRE BROOK have been experimenting with using solar power in the studio. However, since this recording method has proved quite costly, they have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help cover the equipment and transportation expenses.
