DuelJewel to Disband

Visual kei band DuelJewel have announced that they will disband next February.

The announcement was made on July 7th, and the band's last live will be held at Zepp Tokyo on February 23, 2016.

The members stated that the main reason for this disbandment is that vocalist Hayato's throat is in bad condition. In 2011, he decided to take a break from band activities in order to undergo treatment. However, even after he returned, his throat never fully recovered. In the official message on their website, the band stated that their feelings about performing together have not changed since the time the band was formed 18 years ago, but under these circumstances it is very hard to continue activities. They apologized to their fans and staff for the sudden announcement and thanked them for all of their support over the band's long career.

Before their last live DuelJewel will release a new mini-album on July 22nd, titled Duel. Moreover, on the same day, they will start their last one-man tour.
