Maruyama Eiki Leaves LIPHLICH

It was announced today that LIPHLICH drummer Maruyama Eiki has departed from the band.

In a message on their official website Maruyama stated that this decision is a result of various issues, including differing goals from the other members and a lack of motivation towards band activities. He also cited struggles with lower back pain as a major factor in his decision.

He revealed that he has been thinking about leaving the band since around May, but he held out this long at the request of the other members, hoping that things would improve. However, his motivation has not returned, and his pain has been worsening recently, so after the band's December 10th live he finally decided that he could not keep going.

Maruyama apologized for the sudden announcement and for not holding a farewell live. He thanked the band's fans for all of their support over the years.

The remaining members of LIPHLICH have announced that they will continue activities with a support drummer.
