X JAPAN's guitarist PATA has reportedly been hospitalized since January 15th with colonic diverticulitis and portal vein thrombosis. PATA was initially admitted to the hospital's intensive care unit and is receiving I.V. treatment at this time.

The band's new album, slated for release on March 11th, 2016, has been postponed indefinitely. Additionally, the group's upcoming performance in London, scheduled for March 12th, has been pushed back to March 4th, 2017.

The band's members have each released statements regarding PATA's hospitalization.

YOSHIKI: "My heart is overwhelmed with sadness. I'm more sorry than words can convey to upset our fans like this. Even though I'm always saying 'SHOW MUST GO ON', right now I can do nothing but monitor PATA's condition. I'm constantly praying that this will not turn into a tragedy for X JAPAN. Without our fans, there is no X JAPAN. I promise that we will come back from this stronger than ever."

ToshI: "For causing all our fans so much worry, I offer my heartfelt apologies. I'm looking forward to making more music with PATA and the rest of X JAPAN."

HEATH: "I'm deeply sorry about the postponements of our new album and our performance at Wembley Arena. Right now, in order to bring the complete X JAPAN experience to you all, we'll need a little more time. When we're able, we're going to bring our very best sounds and performances, so please look forward to the future."

SUGIZO: "X JAPAN without PATA is unimaginable. I'll continue to wait."

JaME would like to wish PATA a strong and timely recovery.
