the telephones went on hiatus back in November 2015, aside from occasional DJ gigs, frontman
Ishige Akira and synth player
Okamoto Nobuaki have been lying low.
Earlier this month, it was finally announced that the two men would be returning to the stage with a brand new band. They played their first live
preview of film at Tokyo's Shindaita FEVER on March 14th. That night, at a sold out show, the band's name was revealed to be
lovefilm.
The line-up features
Ishige on vocals, guitar and programming, model and actress
Enatsu Shiori on vocals, guitar and synthesizer, drummer
Takahashi Masashi (
The Pat,
PINK POLITICS) and
Okamoto on bass and synthesizer.
The band is already scheduled to perform at
TOKYO METROPOLITAN ROCK FESTIVAL 2016 on May 21st, and official
