Rock band T/ssue have launched an ambitious crowdfundng campaign to promote their next single.
A relatively new band, T/ssue just put out their first nationwide release, the mini-album White, last year. Now, the members have a new song titled 2jigen Note written, which they're planning to release as a digital single in the summer. Money gathered from the crowdfunding project will be used for two purposes: to create a professional music video for 2jigen Note, and to fund the manufacturing of a patron-exclusive CD single titled 2+1, which will feature 2jigen Note and two more tracks.
T/ssue are one of the first acts to utilize a new crowdfunding service called "Eggs Support Project", which was just recently introduced as a new feature of the indie music distribution website Eggs. In addition to typical crowdfunding incentives like a signed physical copy of the single and an exclusive rubber bracelet, the members are also offering some unique chances to interact with them one-on-one. Supporters that contribute 30000 points can go shopping with frontman Sone Ichiro, talk through their problems with bassist Ozawa Daichi over a meal, get a beginner-level guitar lesson from Hanaoka Tadashi or work out at the gym with drummer Iwata Yohei. The highest ranking incentive, a private acoustic concert for one, has already been claimed.
