Junnosuke Taguchi has signed a two-year exclusive deal with UNIVERSAL J, a sublabel of UNIVERSAL MUSIC JAPAN.
His first release with the label will be a new single titled
Connect. The single will be available in two editions on April 5th. Both versions will feature the title track and the B-side
QI. The limited edition will be accompanied by a DVD featuring the music video for
Connect and the music video version of
HERO. The regular edition will be CD-only, but it will feature
Connect（X-T REMIX） feat. DAZZ as an exclusive third track.
In a comment on his official website,
Taguchi stated that, while focusing on his new musical activities, he wants to continue to expand his range of expression as an actor, model and entertainer.
Taguchi officially left
KAT-TUN in March 2016, and he made his solo debut on an independent label in November with the single
HERO. He recently modeled for the 2017 S/S collection of the clothing company
Hombre Niño.
