Rock band Jake stone garage have announced that they will pause activities after wrapping up the dates that they currently have scheduled.

The announcement was made via a message on their official website, which thanked the fans for all their support over the years and stated that their final performance will be a special event they are planning for Kichijouji Planet K on March 10th.

Frontman Satoshi Watanabe stated that the members decided to put the band on hiatus in order to live their lives more freely. He asked the fans to forgive them for the selfishness of their decision and expressed his gratitude for the many unique experiences his fifteen years as a member of Jake stone garage have granted him. Drummer Hideaki Iwanaka stated that he feels that this decision is a result of the members not being able to clearly articulate what they wanted to say to each other, but he was quick to mention that they do not dislike each other as people.

Hailing from Sapporo, Jake stone garage was formed in 2002, and it has existed with its current line-up since 2011. The band plays aggressive rock music tinged with blues, garage and alternative sounds. Overseas fans may remember them from the Japan Nite tour, which brought them across North America in 2013. In 2015, they switched labels and relocated to Tokyo, releasing their second full-length album Jake stone garage. Their latest release, a live-limited mini-album titled UNERU, came out in November 2016.
