Ryunosuke Hayashi, the older brother from folk duo Hirakawachi 1-chome has returned to making music as a solo artist.

After Hirakawachi 1-chome disbanded in 2008 to allow the brothers to pursue academics, Ryunosuke released songs sporadically via Soundcloud and YouTube, but was essentially retired. However, this February, he just put out his first official solo album, Ai to iu na no naka de (or In the Name of Love), via Amazon and digital platforms like iTunes and Spotify. He also released an album titled Time Jam in April and another titled Living Sound on August 31st, although both are currently only available via mail order.

You can follow Ryunosuke on Twitter to stay tuned for more updates.
