Veteran boyband V6 will release their 50th single on January 16th.
A double A-side release, Super Powers / Right Now will be available in three editions. All three will feature the two title tracks. Super Powers was written to serve as the latest opening theme for the anime series "One Piece". The lyrics are based around the theme of "living earnestly with one's comrades" and the message that people can unleash greater power by joining forces. Right Now is a love song that was composed for the group by singer-songwriter Shota Shimizu. It is said to have a "trap-like" beat that gives it a unique sound among V6's works.
Limited Edition A will add a bonus DVD with the music videos for both of the title tracks and making-of footage, while Limited Edition B will feature just the music video for Super Powers and currently unspecified bonus footage. The regular edition will be CD-only, but it will add a track each from the group's sub-units 20th Century and Coming Century as well as instrumental versions of all four songs.
