Electropop singer/rapper DAOKO and solo rocker MIYAVI have created a new track together titled Senkakubanrai that will serve as the theme song for the upcoming movie "Diner".
Directed by Mika Ninagawa ("Sakuran", "Helter Skelter"), the film features a number of familiar faces, including "Battle Royale" star Tatsuya Fujiwara, anime live action mainstays such as Shun Oguri, Masataka Kubota and Kanata Hongo, as well as musicians who are also active in the acting world such as RIZE drummer Nobuaki Kaneko, singer Anna Tsuchiya and saxophone player Shinji Takeda. The story revolves around a girl named Kanako being forced to take a job at a dangerous exclusive diner owned by a chef called Bombero (portrayed by Fujiwara) where all of the customers are contract killers.
The film will begin screening on July 5th. Senkakubanrai will be released digitally on July 3rd, and it will also be featured as a bonus track on MIYAVI's new album NO SLEEP TILL TOKYO, which will be out on July 24th.
