Kame to YamaP to Release First Album

Kame to YamaP, a unit formed by KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya and Yamashita Tomohisa, will release its first album on April 29th.

The album will be titled SI, which is a reference to the lyrics from the duo's famous collaboration single Seishun Amigo, which they released under the name Shuji to Akira. The unit Shuji to Akira was formed 15 years ago after the two men starred in the popular drama "Nobuta o Produce" together, and its name is a reference to their characters from the show. The title was also chosen because it looks similar to "15" when the characters are inverted.

The album will be available in three editions. The Special Limited Pressing will feature eight tracks, and it will come in deluxe LP-sized packaging. The Limited Edition will also include eight tracks, and it will come in digipak packaging. It will add a bonus DVD with the music video and making-of footage for the album's lead track, as well as a 32-page photobook. The regular edition will be CD-only, but it will contain a bonus ninth track. Each edition will feature a different cover design.

Originally advertised as only a temporary unit, Kame to YamaP was formed in 2017 to perform the theme song for "Boku, unmei no hito desu.", another drama that Kamenashi and Yamashita starred in together. Their only release before this album was a single titled Senakagoshi no Chance, which hit stores in May 2017.
