Hip-hop unit Yurufuwa Gang will be releasing a new digital EP titled GOA on July 10th.
The release was created in collaboration with Hentai Camera Man❤️ and YOUTHEROCK★, and
it was inspired by a trip to Goa, India (the birthplace of the music style Goa trance), which all three parties went on earlier this year to work on music together. The release will feature four tracks said to have a psychedelic, trance-influenced sound.
In addition, NENE, the group's female MC, will release a new solo EP on the same date.
Titled Yumetarou, the release will contain six tracks, and it was created around the theme of "youkai" (ghosts/demons from Japanese folklore). It will feature collaborations with Yurufuwa Gang's other MC Ryugo Ishida, rapper
Awich and NIPPS. The songs were produced by Koji Nakamura, estra and Yurufuwa Gang's resident beatmaker Automatic. It was mastered by John Davis.
This digital EP will be NENE's first new solo release in about two and a half years, following up on her 2017 self-titled debut album. The cover art depicts NENE as a "rokurokubi", a monstrous long-necked woman that appears in Japanese
folklore, and it was created by tattoo artist Ganji.
Yurufuwa Gang also just released a digital single titled Ah on May 20th. The track was produced by ISOBeats, and it can be downloaded or streamed here.
The video for Ah can
be viewed below, followed by the MV for Poison, a song NENE featured on from Awich's January album Kujaku. Both NENE and Ryugo also appear in the video.
Yurufuwa Gang also live streamed a no-audience show featuring new songs on May 9th. An archive of the performance is available below:
