While metalcore band CRYSTAL LAKE are in the middle of a flurry of activity at the moment, they have also run into a hurdle. It was recently announced that their guitarist Shinya has decided to take a break from activities with the group.
The members released an English statement via their Facebook page clarifying that Shinya has not left the band, but that he will be absent from the stage for an indefinite period of time due to personal reasons. The band's two other official members, vocalist Ryo and guitarist YD, have stated that this was a decision that they came to as a group after considering their activities and Shinya's situation. They stated that they intend to play the shows they already have booked without Shinya. However, they also hinted that they have "exciting news" to announce in the future.
CRYSTAL LAKE just released a new single titled WATCH ME BURN on July 8th. They will also be releasing a special crowdfunded album titled The Voyages that will feature re-recordings of the band's early works with their current line-up on August 5th. The track list and cover art for The Voyages were just revealed recently on the band's official website.
